Five for Friday

1. I am one of the NINE teachers at my school that is preggo. I made some chocolate chip pumpkin muffins for all of the pregnant mommas as a treat this week. The struggle is REAL y’all. I am 32 weeks and I have 8 to go…whew. They are going to have to put me in a wheel barrel to get me out of those school doors come November 😛

2. I (finally) finished my calendar unit this week. It has made such a big difference in my calendar time with my kiddos. I am using expo markers and page protectors to save paper and save time during calendar. It has been a game changer!

3. Last weekend, my hubby and I went to the Food and Wine festival. We got to meet Andrew Zimmerm so that was pretty fantastic. We love his shows so it was fun to meet him and eat some fabulous food. A food festival is the perfect place to drop this lady.

4. My September BUILD math stations have been a hit this month! I love having this system in my classroom and my kids always say “Yay!!!” when I tell them it’s time to move to math tubs.

5. My best friend and I are going to T-Swift this weekend! We have gone every year that she’s been here and this year we are as close as we can possibly get. It’s fine…a pair of 30 year old women (one extremely pregnant) elbowing and knocking little girls out of our path. Amelia Frances is going to be shaking it off for the first time!

  1. Those muffins look really good, and I bet they were appreciated! I vividly remember being pregnant, teaching spelling, and feeling my son do a gigantic flip! It startled me and I forgot what I was teaching for a minute! My ankles were ginormous! Congratulations on your soon-to-arrive little one. Have a restful weekend.
