If you have met me or know anything about me, then you know that my love for GoNoodle is fierce. I actually am not even quite sure how I survived as a teacher without it. Once I found out about GoNoodle, it has been a game changer in terms of classroom management. So of course, when I heard about the Back to School Blogger Blitz, I had to be a part of it!
I use GoNoodle every morning as part of my morning meeting. I pick one student that gets to be the GoNoodle “leader” and they stand in the front of the room and they get to wear the sweatband and they get to pick what we do. I use it as a way to get kiddos on task first thing in the morning. As they walk in and start putting their stuff away, I remind them that I’m watching for the leader. It has helped my morning routine more than I can even tell you. It has helped my students stay focused and it gets our day started off right.
My kids (every year) are always obsessed with Brian and Neil from KooKoo Kangaroo
When I say my kids are obsessed with KooKoo Kangaroo…you know that I’m talking about myself right?
My friend Ally at Loopin’ Littles had the BEST idea for GoNoodle rules. I totally borrowed this from her and used it with my kids as well. She is just as big of a GoNoodle fanatic as I am!
On Mondays, we have “Maximo” Monday. Not everything has to be a wild and crazy dance party…but that’s just how I like it in my room 🙂 You can use GoNoodle to bring kids from crazy to mellow by doing Maximo (kids yoga) or by doing some of the “Think About It” videos where they set intentions for their day.
Want to use GoNoodle in your classroom? It is SO easy and it’s totally free. All you have to do is go to:
That is where you will sign up for your free account and you can start gonoodling away 🙂
Now, if you are really going to take things seriously here, you can be the cool teacher and get some gonoodle swag for you and your kiddos. I am a fan of my champ tees…I have started a collection.
I also got my kids some GoNoodle valentines last year.
I have a few pieces of good news for you. First off, if you want to check out any GoNoodle swag for yourself, you can get 15% off with the code BTSwithGoNoodle.
As part of the Blogger Blitz, I am also giving away a champ tee! Don’t miss out and don’t forget to sign up for gonoodle ASAP!
Are you already a GoNoodle’r? I would love to hear about your favorite songs and dances you are doing in your classrooms already this year!
My kiddos LOVE Pop See Ko and ask for it every day! Also, I used the rules for my class this year and it has helped tremendously! Thanks for sharing it!
Thanks for the opportunity for the shirt! I already have a ‘My Class is a Dance Party’ & ‘Pop Se Ko’ shirt!!

Nancy
