Linky It Up

There are all of these fun linky parties happening that I couldn’t pick just one. I have bno classroom ideas for ya because, let’s be honest, I am trying to savor every last minute of my break. I know that a lot of people had to go back yesterday (2 day week..very productive) but according to Instagram some of you are out of school because of snow. Speaking of Instagram, if you are an Instagram fanatic like I am, this linky party is still open. Feel free to join in the fun and link up with other Instagrammers if you have an account.

On to other linky happenings. We are having a week long linky party over a BH and would love for  you to join in! Today, the topic is Fitness and Health.  1560510_10202906370166926_1493609568_n If you don’t know this about me, I am a bit of a health nut. I was a swimmer through college and now I’ve turned spin instructor/runner. You can find me on Tuesday evenings with my Britney Spears headset and spandex at the spin studio.

I wish I was kidding.

Since I grew up working out everyday, I still try and do something at least 5-6 times a week. Being an instructor has been fun because I can pick the music I want to play and I get paid to do it! It’s not always easy to drag in there after a day at school, but I always feel better when I leave. There is a group of 50ish people that are teachers and bloggers on FB that created a group called #teacherfit. If you have goals for 2014 and need a support group, we would love for you to join us!

My goal this year is to try a triathlon. I signed up for one a couple years ago and slept in instead.

Slide1 And finally, I am linking up with Farley and her Currently linky. I am so loving this break. I am going to be confused when I have to get back on a schedule. It’s amazing how easy it is to just forget your normal schedule when breaks come along. Monday is a PD day so at least we get to ease back in to it.

We are in the process of selling the house we are in and building a new house. To say that I have anxiety is an understatement.

I don’t like clutter.

You will understand my anxiety once you see what our dining room is turning in to. securedownload (7)Our house is too small to accomate the amount of crap we have accumulated. I wish I could just sell all of it and then start over. It would be easier than going through all of it and moving it.

I am sweating just looking at the picture.

On to happier things. We have a fun tradition every year when my sister and I go to our cousins house to make Gingerbread houses. It usually goes like this:

Sarah (my sister in the red hat) takes 3 hours to complete her roof.

Sophie (my cousin with the perfect looking house) always wins. I don’t know how we determine the winner but she just always wins.

Maddy (beanpole to the right) eats half of the candy before it goes on the house.

Cara (in the red) is the only normal one.

Me (in the front), Pinterest app is open so I can beat Sophie (why do I even try?).

That is pretty much how it goes every year and it’s my favorite.

Your turn to go link up with one or all of these!

  2. I too hate clutter!! Good luck with your move! One of my resolutions this year is to make it to the gym more. I’m getting married in October, so hopefully that’s all the incentive I need! I should try spin class!
