Nursery Reveal

I didn’t actually do a classroom reveal this year because I have been busting my rear to get this nursery finished! Oh my word…what a task! Everyone said, “Oh you have plenty of time” and “Don’t rush”. Well, I wish I would have tried to get more done in the summer because my weekends have been consumed by nursery prep and it is exhausting! So, note to all pregnant and future pregnant teachers out there…get it done while you are feeling really good in your second trimester!

Now, I just love to sit in there…mostly because the pink overload makes my heart skip a beat but also because it’s just the warmest and most inviting room in the house now.

It’s very pink…but there is some gray and white thrown in there. We found the baby furniture at USA baby and most of the other furnishings are Target and/or Pottery Barn Kids.

My two favorite things in the nursery are the giant monogram and the big chair.

The monogram is in the center of the room right when you walk in hanging over the crib. I got it off of Etsy for a reasonable price from Custom Cut Designs and it’s not very heavy so it was easy to hang up. My sister made a burlap bow for me and we did a little DIY one afternoon to get it up on the wall 🙂

My Dad and husband put the crib together and all of the bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids. My sweet friend that threw me a baby shower had that sign made and I just thought it should be out for a little while 🙂

This chair is ridiculously comfortable. I have found my husband just sitting in there hanging out. A friend that I work with told me that her best piece of advice was to find a great chair since you will be in it a lot. My Dad, future brother in law and husband have all called dibs…

The teddy bear on the chair was a gift from my gran. I am naming Amelia Frances after her grandmother and the bear is made out of Amelia’s daughter (my great grandmother) mink coat.

Next to the chair is our little bookshelf, which was my grandfathers. My grandfather, uncle, Dad and myself all had this shelf in our bedrooms at some point in time. My Dad repainted it and it’s home to all of Amelia’s books and little knickknacks.

My sister helped me arrange the pictures over the changing table. The You are Loved picture is from Life with Peanut and the Wood Alphabet Art is from Little Salping Toys.  The cross was mine from growing up and the mirrors are from Target…or At Home. I can’t remember which but I know they have them at both places.

My Dad helped hang the letters my Mom bought from PBK.

We’ve got bows and clothes for days. My favorite bow shops are Hello Miss Gorgeous, Posh Little Tots and My Cheeky Baby.

Now, I’m just going to sit here for another 4 weeks and wait for this little peanut to get here!
