Peek at My Week {Fairy Tales}

I have to admit, I am SO ready to be back at school with my kiddos.

I think being out SO much with weather related issues this year, I’m just ready for a normal week with my kiddos! Spring Break is great and all, but this year is coming to an end faster than I would like to even think about. I’m also teaching Fairy Tales this week and that might be on the Top 5 of my most favorites.

Of course, I had my bookshelf set up and ready to go before I even left for break.

A lot of people ask where I get all of my books. It depends on the week to be honest. All of these books are mine. I am a sucker for Fairy Tales so I own A LOT. Not all of them are even pictured here. There are some weeks, I may not have as many on that topic and I have a great librarian that will pull books for me. To say that I am a hoarder of children’s literature is an understatement. I would spend an entire paycheck on-line if my husband didn’t have a say :-p This is the best part of my job and a huge part of me. Books are just the lifeline of my room.

Please (like PRETTY PLEASE) let your kids get to read the books that you read a-loud. It is a much more powerful experience for them to be able to pull a book off the shelf that they are familiar with. I know that sometimes you spend your own money and you don’t want them to get “dirty”…but books are meant to be loved on! So try not to cringe when they bend a page on accident or drop it on the floor…just teach them how to be book lovers and they will take better care of your beloved books than you think!
