Student Birthday Freebie

Hey friends!

Yesterday was my first official day with my kiddos and believe it or not, it was also a birthday in my room. You know how it goes back to school…I kind of felt like I had to scramble to find something for my little birthday friend. Of course, we don’t want to break the bank but I do love to give my friends a little recognition on their birthdays!

I found these amazing crayons in the dollar section at Target (of course) this summer.

The brand is Alex but I can’t confirm nor deny that they are still there. I tried looking on-line and that just turned in to the black hole of on-line shopping so I stopped and came back to what I was originally doing…which was sitting down to write this blog post! I grabbed one of these chunky notepads to use in a writing station but I didn’t get one for every kiddo because those suckers are $5 so everyone is just going to have to share that notepad!

So, what I did was I made a little note and tied it to the front of the crayons for my little birthday kiddo.

I tied it up with some paper raffia and got a crown and we were all set!

Of course, you can tie that up to smelly markers, or crayons, or colored pencils…whatever you want! It’s a great little inexpensive gift!

Here are the tags. Just click to download it!

Of course, we also did the KooKoo Kangaroo birthday dance!

Hope this is something you are able to use!

    Hi Elizabeth,

I absolutely love the font at the top of the classroom newsletter ie. “August” & “March.”

Is this font Babbling Abby Font? If so, can you tell me the name of it? If not, can you please tell me what it is and where I might be able to get it.

    Thanks
