Back At It!

Well, no snow!Β
However, we have a very icy playground and a lot of kiddos slipping and sliding all over the place. We read The Snowy Day today. While it’s a fave, I wish I was Peter today! πŸ™‚
Like I have said before, I have a group of incredibly high readers. It is so awesome to see their little minds reading and processing chapter books. Before the holiday break, I went to my reading coach (who is AWESOME) and she suggested that I pull in more writing with them to keep them challenged. Even though they are great little readers, I still want to find a way to show growth this year with them. I did this page with them today during guided reading. I modeled what I would have written and then let them do the page. Two of them copied from the book and another student wrote exactly what I did…so we have room to grow as writers responding to text.Β
Which is great!
I have this page in my Google Docs for free so just click on it and you can use it as well!Β
Thanks to everyone that participated in the MLK giveaway! I have sent e-mails to everyone that left a comment or shared on their blog. If I left you off or you didn’t leave me your e-mail, send me an e-mail and I will take care of that for you! I was just feeling generous today πŸ™‚Β
