Snowy Day (I wish…)

I always say that I don’t do anything crafty (because of the lack of wiggle room we have in our schedule!) and then I end up doing it anyways! Indoor recess has been our friend for the past week and snow days have been a tease SO I had to do this cute Peter! The noise of indoor recess just makes me cringe after a few days so this was the alternative and they turned out great!
I had to share.
Of course, I don’t just do an activity without some sort of reason or purpose behind it. While this is a super cute Peter, the kids still wrote. They did an extension to the story. I have all of the materials that you need to do this project and writing. I had the kids write in the morning as a response to the text and then we did Peter to go along with it. They look great hanging in the hallway!
If you click on the pictures of the cut-outs, it will link you right to Google Docs and you can find the PDF versions there. You will need a piece of blue construction paper for the background. The cut-out of Peter will go on a red piece of paper and the circles go on brown paper. I couldn’t get the color to adjust, but since you aren’t printing on white, it shouldn’t matter. The kids just need to see the black line in order to get it cut out.
The writing prompt is also in Google Docs.
I hope you do this with your students! It was a lot of fun!
Friday is almost here!!!
