Techy Teacher Tuesday!

Katie, over at The First Grade Jungle is having a techy linky party! She is so lucky because each student in her classroom has an iPad…let’s just say I was a bit jealous looking through her photos of her students using them!
This is right up my ally! I am a huge advocate of technology in the classroom. I am the teacher rep on the PTO committee and pushed for iPads in classrooms this year. Each K-3 classroom has 2 iPads now. For this to happen, there was a competition between classrooms to see who could raise the most $$$. The classroom that won would be sending their teacher to a dunk tank during a Spirit party. Guess who had on fins, inter tube and goggles? Yeah…I am THAT big of an advocate for technology!
Other than 2 iPads in our rooms…we have two student computers, listening station, ELMO document camera, digital camera, projector, and a Promethean Board.
I am a new blogger and even though this blog at Teacher Blogging Basics hasn’t been up-dated in awhile, it sure has helped me with some of the things that I had no idea about! I am learning as I go with the blog and the TpT store!
Thanks, Katie, for putting this linky party on!

  1. You are brave for going in a dunk tank. I don’t think I could do it! I think it is amazing how much technology you have in your classroom. I only have a teacher computer, a very old student computer, an ELMO, and smartboard. I guess I shouldn’t say only because some don’t have that. I would LOVE to have ipads in my classroom. I was thinking of writing a grant this year to get a small set! I would also love to have an ipod for my classroom. I might have to pick your brain for some ideas for the iPads. 🙂
