Tell Me Something Good!

I’m linking up with Jennifer at Rowdy in First Grade. She thought it would be a good time to send out some positive vibes to all of those friends that are snowed it up North. Whew…I’m glad I live in the South!
Something Good at Home: My husband went out today to get us lunch. I started to get worried because he had been gone for a long time. You know a women’s intuition…we just know when something is off. I called him and he didn’t answer so I started to worry more. Turns out, he got in a fender bender in the parking lot. I was just glad it wasn’t anything serious…can’t depend on those cameras in the cars peeps! Turn around and look!
Something Good at School: It seems like everyone has a hard time right after break and before Valentines Day with behavior at school. Whenever I start having behavior issues at school, I try to figure out what I could be doing better as a teacher and I TRY not to blame it on the kids being rotten after being out of school for two weeks! I did two weeks of serious character education with my kiddos. We set a goal for ourselves to reach 100 acts of kindness by the time Valentines Day rolls around. You can read about it here . I’ve implemented some more positive reinforcement and it has made all the difference in the world. They are back to being their sweet little wonderful selves 🙂

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love your idea of 100 acts of kindness! Glad your kiddos have responded so well to it. Teaching character education is so important with our little guys and gals. We can hopefully plant a seed that will continue to grow within each and every one of them. Hope your week goes well!

  4. I love the idea of 100 acts of kindness! My kids were awful yesterday- one kid told another that his dog didn’t go to heaven. Lord help me! Long long looooong day! Thanks for linking up!
