To blog or not to blog…

This is the question I asked myself when I walked in the door tonight. Do I blog tonight OR do I go to bed. Well, here is the conclusion. I have one glass left in the bottle of wine that my husband opened last night…so I must blog.
Of course, I have another non-education post tonight. Just a funny story for ya. That’s all 🙂
As you know, I live in TN so keep that in mind as you read this.
Our K team was doing a science rotation and I had another K class in my room. We were doing a lesson on solids and liquids and and brainstorming different things that are liquid. The kids had come up with about 5 things. I thought we were done until this adorable little blonde boy raises his hand…
Me– Ok (we’ll say Paul) give me another example of a liquid.
“Paul”– “Well, mi Daddy says dat beer is a liquid.”
Me- Your Dad is correct and I think we’re done here.
Moving on…
Also, I just wanted to say a quick thank you to Nikki who sent me a very kind and thoughtful e-mail tonight. I am so glad that I started this blog and I’m getting to meet such great people through it.
Virtual hugs to all my bloggy buds ;0)

  1. Don’t you love all those little comments we hear on a daily basis. Love how the little kindergarten mind works! I am so thankful for all the wonderful people I have met through blogging. You are a rock star girl! Hugs! 🙂

  2. Don’t you just love those moments? Like when we’re brainstorming rhyming words and one of my kiddos says, “Ms. Jessica does whore rhyme with four?” Aaaaaand moving on… lol! 🙂 By the way I am SO jealous of your upcoming trip! I’ve always wanted to go to London. Please take lots of pictures and post them on your blog! 🙂

  3. That is too funny! I had a first grader raise his hand when I was giving the lecture on no boyfriends or girlfriends in first grade, along with no kissing and holding hands and he said “Yeah because you can’t do that or have sex until you’re 18”. Then came the silence and shocking look on my face. I didn’t know what to say! I don’t know where kids get some of the things that they say. Lol. Thanks for sharing 🙂

That’s like one of my first-grade friends writing his How-To piece on “How to Crush a Beer Can”…wonderful. Thankfully, I caught it before he made it past the title! 🙂
