Currently I have Goals ;0)

Like that little play on words for the two linky parties I’m joining today?
I know.
You wish you had thought of it first.
Yesterday, I saw all of the new currently’s going up and I had to go check the calendar to make sure that it is in fact June. Yikes.
June is my birthday month and that’s the month I can’t tease my husband anymore about being older than me.  That’s a really bummer for me and my age. I’ve heard 27 is the best year ever so I’m just going to go with it. Right?
Right.
Here is my currently for the month of June. That’s right (I say to myself) June.
So, since it’s my birthday month…I am thinking that I need a puppy that looks just like my sister’s new puppy.
Meet Powell.
I know you just said “Awwwwwwww” out-loud to yourself at your computer.
He comes over to play with Maggie and they are best buds so I am trying to convince my sister she just needs to let him live here. I mean, technically, he could still be her dog but just lives with me. That’s fair.
We don’t know what type of puppy he is because she got him from the humane society. If you can label the cutest face to a type of dog then that’s what Powell is.
So what you just heard was…cute cute cute…I’m obsessed.
Moving on.
 I have goals!
I {Heart} Recess is having a goal monthly linky party. I’m a little nervous to join because what if I don’t meet my goals?!?! As you can tell by my first goal, I’m going to leave it vague this month.
So my personal goal is to organize. Organize what you might ask? Well, that’s for me to figure out this month. I’ll report back in July.
My Dad and I love going on bike rides together. We go all over the county and wear padded shorts (butt pants as I like to call them). Tennessee is such a beautiful place to ride.
When I get back from Europe, the cleanse will begin. No other information needed people.
School…what’s school?
I reallllllyyyyyyyyyyy want to go to the Blogher conference in Chicago and am working on getting sponsors. If you are a sponsor and you want to send a teacher to a conference…hit me up! Is anyone going or have you gone before?
I started to read A Monster Calls and I’m a pretty fast reader so I’m feeling confident I can have this finished by the end of the month. The other issue is I am running out of things to read! I was really nervous about starting this book because I don’t like anything scary, but it’s not really scary. The language and the writing in this book is stunning. I would recommend it.
Got any book suggestions?
Happy Sunday!

  2. Oh my goodness those little “eyebrow” spots on Powell are to die for! You definitely need a puppy just like him! Have fun on your vacation and be sure to take lots of picture! Hopefully you get some sponsors and get to go to Blogher. I know people who have gone and they said it is fabulous!

  3. Riding your bike with your dad is so great. My son rode his bike in S. America for 8 months and invited his dad to meet him for a Christmas ride through the desert. They made memories for a lifetime! And, by the way, 27 is amazing! I got married that year and things just kept getting better! Enjoy your upcoming trip!

    • Wow! That must have been amazing. My Dad wants to do the 5 states ride but it’s through a lot of mountains and my legs get tired just thinking of all the climbing :-/

  4. Powell is adorable. I think you need a new puppy for sure! 🙂 Now I think I may need a new puppy too!

I’m going to check out A Monster Calls. Thanks for the recommendation! I love reading, especially in the summer.

So glad to find you through currently! Happy Birthday!

  5. Elizabeth, thanks for sharing your new book. I’m looking for other books to add to my list, I’ll have to check this one out! Your sister’s puppy is just way too cute! Hope you have a great birthday! Mine is next month. I won’t be turning 27, but we can always say that I am!!!!!

  6. Please let us know how the book, A Monster Calls, is. I just read the description on Amazon & it sounds interesting. It doesn’t sound like the usual type of book I would read, but I’m still interested.

I understand why you would want Powell to live at your house, that face is just scrumptious!! It’s something about having a puppy around, that gives you the puppy fever. I’ve been there.

    • I have had serious puppy fever for about a year and this isn’t helping matters 🙂 I told my hubs that all I want for my birthday is a puppy but I don’t think he’s giving in yet!

  7. What is Blogher!? I have never heard of it before!
