Throwback Thursday and Giveaway :)

I was just going to hop on here and let you all know that I was going to be doing a giveaway and then I saw this fun linky party pop up on my news feed. I gotta join in on the fun.Β
I have only had this blog up and running since January so there isn’t a ton in the archives but since it’s summer and I know there is a lot of you out there trying to get things done before school starts, here is a post about putting together crate seats. I know there are other posts out there but maybe you can use this if you are making crate seats this summer!Β
This was originally posted on January 19th and I think I had a total of about 5 followers so maybe this will be read by 6 of you this time around πŸ™‚

Ok, so I did not get this idea from Pinterest, but one of my amazing team-mates. She is like a walking Pinterest board and she made similar seats for her classroom. This is one of those projects you think you want to do at the beginning of the year and you don’t get around to it til January πŸ™‚
So here’s what you need:Β

I hope that I make sense explaining how I did this! I tried to get picture so you can have a visual!Β
Almost done! I started this last night and had a glass of wine while doing in and then figured it was time to put the staple gun away before I stapled by finger to a board!Β
As you can see, I made the hubby try it out as well. Bahaha…he’s a comical 6’5 Kindergarten student.Β
I just wanted you to see how sturdy they are because they can hold up me and my large husband πŸ™‚
Here’s what I love about these seats (besides being super cute)…storage!Β
I have an art table and a reading table that just has junk all under it in random bins because I don’t have a lot of storage in my room. I am planning on using these to store blocks, math manipulative, books…etc.Β
The pull tab is so kids can lift them up easily without getting a splinter!Β
Maybe this can be your Spring Break or Summer project πŸ™‚
Happy Weekend!

Now on to the giveaway. It’s a day early because my actual birthday is tomorrow but I am leaving to head out of town tomorrow so I wanted to get it to you today.

Good luck!Β
