Have you seen this book? If you haven’t you should get it in your library ASAP! It’s about a girl and boy that go on a word adventure. You can get a hat that looks just like the girl’s hat. On Friday we play “Word Wall Wizard” where the students sit at the word wall and repeat the following……
Then they say something along the lines of “I’m thinking of a word that has two letters and starts with the letter t.” The word wizard then selects a student and if they guess their word they get to be the wizard. It’s a great way to review sight words and the kids are all engaged and participate willingly.
