Happy Sunday!
I wanted to share some of my favorite activities for Groundhog’s Day!
As you all know, Tuesday is Groundhog’s Day. There are lots of great books that you can read and tomorrow you can make predictions with your kiddos and vote if the groundhog will see his shadow. You can watch Punxsutawney Phil and get other ideas on this web-site.
My bookshelf has some of my favorite books on it.
The week of groundhog’s day always ends up being the 100th day of school. This week, the 100th day of school is on Thursday.
If you don’t have access to any of these books, YouTube is always a great place where you can find read-alouds.
I thought I had some pictures to share with you from doing this unit last year but I can’t seem to find them. That or I didn’t take pictures at all and just thought I did 😛 Both are very possible.
This unit is perfect for one or two days while you are learning about groundhog’s day. Even better, it’s on sale 🙂
Each week, we have a poem that we add to our poetry notebooks. Here is our groundhog poem for the week. This poem is part of this groundhog unit. Click here or on the picture to download it for free!
Hi! Where do you find your poems each week?!
Hey Kristen! I have a poetry unit that I pull from each week 🙂 https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Poetry-All-Year-For-K-694882
