I have the cutest cutest new CD for my classroom.
It’s all about postivie self talk. I am all about postivie behavior reinforcement. It makes life SO much easier in the classrom. Instead of always saying “don’t do this” or “don’t do that”, I try to focus on the postivie behaviors that students do by saying things like “I love the way you are….(fill in the blank).” That’s not to say there aren’t times where I have a “Come to Jesus” meeting with a student or the entire class 🙂
This is a new company that revolves around building students positivie outlook. There are stories and (even better) music that accompanies all of the stories. I have beeen playing the CD during stations and morning meeting. The kids love the songs.
There are many different characters that make up this program. That way, you can break it down instead of trying to do too much at once. I am always looking for helpful behavior management tools (aren’t we all?!?).
The reason I ramble on and on about it because I have a CD to give away 🙂 I will ship it right to ya!
“As educators, we remember and honor our fallen colleagues and their students from Sandy Hook School. We honor them each day in our classrooms in which we continue their dream of teaching our children. We honor their memory with our service. Join with teachers everywhere in committing random acts of kindness to show our love for Sandy Hook.”
