I’m such a sap…
Here we go.
1. First and foremost…I need to announce the winner of the clip art giveaway! Sweet Linda was so generous to donate some of her clip art and Sara Edgar won my giveaway! Such luck because she is one of my favorite bloggers!
Sometimes Rafflecopter is just on your side like that…check your inbox sista.
2. Speaking of Sara…she is having a 400 follower giveaway. Check out her blog to see what you can win! There is all sorts of good stuff over there you can win.
3. Thank goodness for the the clipart artists (MelonHeadz is obviously the inspiration here) that made this door happen. I am an A+ tracer. And I’m reallll good with a crayon. I have a Pete guitar that one of my students brought last year. I’m going to figure out something to go with shoes and add that to the door. I don’t have a class list yet so I can’t do anything more than what I’ve got right now.
Β He just looks like he wants to give you a hug. I love it!
4. So more about my classroom. Haven’t you felt like you have been living in your classroom? I wish that I could just roll out a sleeping bag and take a shower in the sink for next week. My whole classroom (of course) is now chevron theme. Every single label, sign, alphabet…etc had to be in chevron. OCD much?
I’ll post up pictures for my classroom revel.
The suspense…I know.
Anyways, leading to my point. I found this great chevron dismissal clip chart (from our first grade team) that I love. Even better…it’s a freebie!
5. We are hosting a baby shower this week. I ordered this adorable sign to hang on the front door to give as their gift and use as decoration.
Two birds…one stone. Check.
Have an awesome weekend…rest up π
Pete is adorable. What a great way to enter your room.

I can’t wait to take pictures of all my kiddos with the guitar to add to it!
Hello there Elizabeth! I hope you’re doing well! I got a laugh out of your obsessive chevronning (not a word but you know what I mean). I do the same thing, only first I have to scold myself, saying it’s completely unnecessary, and then while I’m saying it, my hands just keep working on whatever it is. But classroom decor IS important because we’re gonna be looking at it all year long, right?

You’re welcome girl….excited for your giveaway and you winning the giveaway!
I’m always jealous when I see lovely door decorations – all the door leading into my room are sliding ones so I can’t stick anything on them. π I’d love to have something welcoming for the kids to see even before they come inside.
Good luck for a wonderful start to the year with your kidlets! π

I loved the dismissal chart! I already downloaded it.
I put it together right before I left school today with ribbon.it looks cute while still having a purpose!
Love your Pete! Can’t wait to see the pics of your classroom. That baby shower gift is adorable!

Rambling About Reading
Your door gave me so much inspiration about what I can do outside of my room for my monkey/jungle theme. I need to make a palm tree SO BAD (not really, I just want one!) and I can trace too so I’m bringing back the overhead projector or the Elmo to make it happen! Can’t wait to see your room! π
