My sweet friend, Katie, over at Little Warriors is hosting the best linky party. It fits perfectly for this time of the year! I don’t think many of us are going to be snapping classroom ideas this week :0) When I say that I am blessed…I mean it. I have the most thoughtful parents and students that anyone could ask for. They go out of their way for me. It makes the hard days easier knowing that I have parents and students that really do love me as much as I love them. Here are some of the amazing gifts that I got Friday.
If you are looking at that picture and asking yourself, “Does that say “Dean” on the bottom right?”
Yes, it does.
One of my parents (she is the librarian at our school) knows how much I love Pete the Cat and owls. She got this painted for me by the actual illustrator (James Dean). I looked at her like “Are you for REAL!?”. She was for real. This is a treasure. I love love love it!
My class gift was this adorable thirty-one bag filled with goodies. They must know that my husband calls me the “bag lady” every morning. I seem to walk out the door each morning before school with at least three bags. Between school stuff, my laptop, my purse and my work-out bag (ok make that 4 bags), I am loaded down. It’s a bit of a problem. If you give me thirty-one bags then I will be the most stylish bag lady out there…
The best gift I recieved this year was this e-mail from one of my parents. I was driving to Lousiville with my husband yesterday. I tried reading it to him and I got choked up before I could finish. It was one of the nicest e-mails I’ve ever gotten. It was probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said! I couldn’t believe this sweet Mom took time out of her morning to e-mail me that note.
Before I head out for Christmas festivities (yes, they start tonight!) I want to remind everyone of our Nashville meet-up that is happening this weekend! This box of goodies just rolled in tonight!
We are going to have some amazing things planned! We have quite a large group coming already. If you are planning on coming, please fill out the Google Docs to let Greg and I know. You can also send me an e-mail at kickinitinkindergarten@gmail.com to let me know you are coming and I can send you all of the info!
I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Enjoy your time off!
