Ok, so I did not get this idea from Pinterest, but one of my amazing team-mates. She is like a walking Pinterest board and she made similar seats for her classroom. This is one of those projects you think you want to do at the beginning of the year and you don’t get around to it til January 🙂
So here’s what you need:Â
I hope that I make sense explaining how I did this! I tried to get picture so you can have a visual!Â
Almost done! I started this last night and had a glass of wine while doing in and then figured it was time to put the staple gun away before I stapled by finger to a board!Â
As you can see, I made the hubby try it out as well. Bahaha…he’s a comical 6’5 Kindergarten student.Â
I just wanted you to see how sturdy they are because they can hold up me and my large husband 🙂
Here’s what I love about these seats (besides being super cute)…storage!Â
I have an art table and a reading table that just has junk all under it in random bins because I don’t have a lot of storage in my room. I am planning on using these to store blocks, math manipulative, books…etc.Â
The pull tab is so kids can lift them up easily without getting a splinter!Â
Maybe this can be your Spring Break or Summer project 🙂
Happy Weekend!Â
Oh my GOSH! I love these. I have seen them on pinterest before and other blogs but never really sat down to look at the directions. The way you explained it, makes them look very manageable to make! Thinking this will definitely be on my to do list for spring break. 🙂 Love the pull tab idea as well!

I have seen these and wanted to make them as well, but like you said…..I thought I would do it before school started and never got around to it. I wanted to make them for my art table and possibly my writing center (If they are tall enough for the table). Thanks for the step by step directions!

They do seem much easier than I thought. Hmmm, may have to add that to my summer to-do list! 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
NotJustChild’sPlay
It’s a lot simpler than I thought as well! I got a bit over zealous and made 8…hoping I have the room to store the storage!!!
I love the seats! Super cute and functional 🙂 I’m your newest follower and cannot wait to read more.
