Five for Friday

Happy Friday! Here are my five!

1. The nursery is done! I posted about it in here (because I didn’t do an official classroom reveal :). I had no idea how much work would go in to this little room. I wanted it to be perfect and of course…lots of pink. It’s finally done and I’m ready to bring home little Amelia Frances so she can wear all of those outfits and bows!

2.  Prepping for maternity leave is no joke. I want to make sure that my interim feels confident and prepared. I came in the middle of the year for another teacher and her maternity leave and I was lucky to have a lot of support from the team. I was fresh out of school and trying to come in the middle of the year and it was really overwhelming. I had no idea going in to it and I don’t want my interim to feel like that! She was also my student teacher so she should be all set 🙂

3. It’s been such a beautiful Fall week! The leaves are changing and the weather is just dreamy so we are trying to be outside as much as possible. We went on a a tree walk yesterday and collected different parts of a tree. We read a non-fiction book and went searching outside for bark, leaves, acorns and sticks. This is an activity that you can snag out of my TpT shop for free.

4. My favorite season is Fall. I grew up in Franklin, TN and they have a festival called Pumpkinfest and I LOVE it. It just screams Fall and makes me one happy girl.

I’m going to be waddling through it this year, but at least I still get to go!

5. I’m so excited to be presenting at the Kindergarten Conference in California this March. If you are in the area, I’d love to see you! It’s going to be my first…after baby type of event so I would love to see your bright smiling face!
