1. Today is the day.
My maternity leave is over. I told my husband yesterday that it has been like one really long blissful snow day. I have enjoyed every single second of being home with my little goose. I definitely have mixed emotions about going back to school. I am very blessed because my principal is going to allow me to job share until the end of the year. I just need to get through this first day because I’ve never been away from her for longer than 2 or 3 hours. I’m hoping to stay extra busy and it will go by fast and I won’t even know I’m missing her…
2. I am finishing out the week with my kids doing one of my favorite units! Fractured Fairy Tales.
I always love studying about fairy tales with my kids and I love the fractured ones even more!
3. I have been going up to school to try and get plans done before I come back. I don’t want to have to be spending a lot of extra time at school once I do go back so I can get home to little miss. My kids are little smarties! Holy moly!
4. This unit was one of my original TpT products. Gah…so embarrassing. This is the new one. If you have the old version (have mercy) go download the new version! It’s on sale through the weekend in case you are looking for a resource for Earth Day!
5. Even though it’s a little bittersweet today…Spring Break starts. Ha! Today will be my trial run 🙂
That first day back after a maternity leave is so hard! Just remember, if you cry a little, that’s ok!…She is a doll!!!
