Five For Friday

Oh heyyy Friday.

Last school Friday of the year!

It’s a bitter sweet kind of feeling.

1. We’ve ended our year with a bang studying about Oliver Jeffers. I want to say that I wish we would have done it earlier in the year, but I don’t know if my students would have enjoyed it as much as they did this week. I feel like they understand his sense of humor and appreciate his stories more than they would have even a few weeks ago.

2. I had the best Teacher Appreciation week. My sweet class got me a picture frame with all of the things they love about me written around this little heart.

I absolutley love it.

Sniff…

3. I am turning in to total Game of Thrones nerd.

I can’t stop watching it.

4. I am beyond excited to start my summer reading. Kim Bearden is one of founders of the Ron Clark Academy. I heard Ron Clark speak last summer at the SDE conference and have been a fan ever since. I can’t wait to dig in to this book. It’s #1 on my summer reading list.

5. Last weekend, my hubby and I went to a fun little fake horse race here in TN. Well, there are horses. I just haven’t ever seen any.

It’s ridiculous really.

We all slosh around in the mud and nobody can even place bets. When I type it out myself, I can’t really believe that we do it every year. We haven’t missed a year since of college.
