What a weird week.
Just sayin’….
We skipped Tuesday because of election day and I haven’t been able to get calendar date or day right ever since. I’m hoping that I can finally get my act together today. You know you’ve done a decent job teaching students how to use a calendar when they can correct you on the date for almost a week straight.
Sad but true.
Before I feel the need to admit more of my shortcomings…I’m just going to get on with my Five.
1. One of my students wore this shirt yesterday and it cracked me up. I am that {ahem} adult. My husband doesn’t LOVE that I put ketchup on steak every once in awhile. If it would socially acceptable, I would probably drink ketchup..it’s weird. I know.
2. I created a new unit this week and I’m giving one away along with a dictionary to use in your classroom. You can click on the picture and it will take you back giveaway post.
3. Hubby and I are headed back to college town this weekend for Homecoming. We are excited to see all of our friends and just take a breather. I found this picture from when we were in college and it makes me feel…old. We met in college in case you were wondering 🙂
4. Next week is one of my ALL time favorite weeks. We are doing Stone Soup and I already am getting everything together so we can make it next week. I love this activity because there are so many ways to get kids to make connections and think beyond just one story. I think I really love this unit because it’s the first time I get to see kids use the
5. Because tomorrow is Saturday…
Happy Friday everyone! Make sure you go link up 🙂
Right there with you on the date thing! I swear my kids have to remind me to change it every day lately! Love your little dictionary pack! I am crossing my fingers!!!!! I just shared in on my Fan Page!

My calendar is totally messed up too! Sigh – crazy week though and yep, good thing when the kids can correct me on it at least! 🙂
I used to hate ketchup, but for the past few years my tastebuds have changed I guess because now I like it!
Love the picture of you and the hubby – my husband and I met in high school and got married shortly after. Sometimes I laugh at our old pictures because we look, literally, 17 🙂
I will have to check out stone soup! I have never done it in kindergarten!
Happy weekend!
