First of all, congrats to Kelly, Kimberly Ann and Erin for winning the Superbowl unit! Thanks for entering the giveaway and be sure to check your e-mail girls ๐
I am linking up with Katie from Teacher to the Core to chat about my High and Low for the month of January. I love the idea of reflecting back on your month! Thanks for hosting Katie!ย
I always like to start off on a positive thought! I would have to say my high this month was starting my TpT store and blog and people actually joining and commenting. I have also made some great new friends! It has been wonderful collaborating with other teachers from around the country. It has been an exciting new adventure so I wouldย definitely say that would be my high!ย

January is usually a hard month for people in general. The weather isn’t great and kids aren’t getting as much Vitamin D like normal. My low was last week with my students. Their behavior was just wearing on me. They are a WONDERFUL group of kiddos but I was just really struggling with classroom management. Good new…this week is tons and tons better.ย
We have been doing a lot of character ed. this week. I linked up kid president from yesterday and our saying for the week was “Just Be Awesome”. Today we are watching Jessica and talking about attitude.ย
I’ll leave you with a little teacher humor:
Happy Wednesday peeps!ย
Oh my goodness! Loooove that video – it is so cute! I will definitly be showing that to my kids! Sorry to hear about your behavior issues last week, sometimes they just have weeks like that and it makes me want to SCREAM. At least this week has been better for you ๐ I’m so excited about your blog – it is fabulous. And thank you so much for entering my giveaway!
You had me at Ryan Gosling (shirtless)- Hey Girl. Love those!! ๐ And I know what you mean about behavior wearing on your nerves- it seems like every year, their behavior gets more annoying after Christmas (to me anyway). I found you through Katie’s linky and I’m your newest follower!

Glad to meet you too! I really loved your blog and if you are ever in the Nashville area just pop on in ๐
I can completely relate to the behaviors making you get to that over frustrated point. My little ones are really push the limits right now. I’ve gone home too many times this month just wiped and ask myself why do I do this again? Don’t like those days at all! Thanks for sharing and letting us know we are not alone in the teaching world.

I empathize with the crazy behavior. I am thinking about getting really gimmick-y and every two weeks doing something new… Compliments jar, brownie points, knocking my socks off. It seems like my class has to be constantly entertained and bribed (WHICH I HATE) but it also makes school fun and engaging which I love… so , I thinking it through….. Hopefully you February highs will be your class is being so well behaved!

I have really turned on the positive reinforcement. My treasure box has gotten some serious play this week ๐ It is working though…thanks for following!
I couldn’t agree more with your High!!! I’m so loving the collaboration and chats I’m getting to have through my blog. It’s the cheapest form of PD and therapy all rolled into one!
And now, I’m glad I’ve found you as well!
I’m so glad this week was better for you… ๐
