I actually think that I keep myself busier in the summer because I am scared that I will (gasp) not have anything to do. I can’t believe it’s July. That means there is only one more month until it’s a school month.
I have been making dust bunnies this afternoon for my new unit and let me just say, I have burned the tip of my finger with the hot glut gun a total of six times. I may have burned the nerves out of them…haha.ย
They turned out cute and I will be posting “How To” once I get it all together (i.e. when I feel like another tutorial can go up that doesn’t have to do with mcblovin’ bloglovin’).
Anyways, here’s what going on currently….
I don’t really feel like I need to explain any of the categories here other than robinsonlane.comย
I am obsessed with this necklace that a former parent got me for my birthday. I first opened it up and thought…well that would be an odd necklace for a Kindergarten teacher to be walking around in. It’s from “I Walk The Line” by Johnny Cash. Oh ok…I will probably keep the time little cowboy gun behind the pendant if I ever wear it to school but it’s a great conversational piece ๐
She makes the most amazing jewelry. I have already bought a state necklace and a pair of earrings. Our 2nd anniversary is coming up and don’t think I haven’t hint hint hinted….

Congrats to Sylvia and Cori for winning the Bloglovin’ giveaway! Check your e-mail!
Speaking of Bloglovin’…I hope to see you all here tomorrow! Google Reader is done-zo (it’s a word) and we will all be connected through Bloglovin‘ which will give me the visualization of Mclovin’ every time so I sure am looking forward to that…
Like I said, I should be getting ready instead of blogging. We’re headed to see Cirque tonight!
Happy Sunday and last day of June!

I agree…summer needs to just slow down! It always goes this way, though. School year is as slow as a snail though.
Have fun at the lake…I taught kindergarten for 6 years and loved it!

We went and saw Quidam. It was unbelievable! I have seen 5 of them and love them all. Elvis was my favorite one. I’m hoping to get to another one when I’m in Vegas!
Haha McLovin’ is in the movie Pitch Perfect…so when I saw him in it (I saw it for the first time last week) I started laughing b/c all I could think about was your McLovin’ BlogLovin’…..and every time I go by McDonalds…..LOL

Did you see Brittany’s (Lovely Literacy and More) post? It was pretty hilarious too. She had a McDonalds sign on it but it said McLovin’ instead of McDonalds. I think he should be the mascot for Bloglovin….maybe I should e-mail them and suggest it? Haha
Oh my goodness those dust bunnies are adorable! I love that book! They are the perfect addition to the story!
The Polished Teacher
Thanks girly!
LOVE your dust bunnies! I had forgotten all about that book until I found it the other day crammed in my collection of books. It is so stinkin’ hilarious!

The kids love it! It makes rhyming a little more fun to teach too. I’m going to keep those pens out all year and have them do all of their rhyming stations with them. Or, at least, keep them out until they have been destroyed!
Hahah…Mclovin’! I always think of the Mc Donalds jingles when I see it…badabadada- I’m lovin’ it! That’s necklace is adorable. Can’t wait to see the dust bunnies.
