Last day to enter and Picture book party!

I have to say that books are my all time favorite thing about teaching. I also think about what books I am going to read to my students at the beginning of the year because I want them to just love love love books so much. I try to make a big spectacle about the library and hugging books if they drop them or if they fall. I want my students to treasure reading and the feeling of holding a book and loving it. It’s really why I do what I do.Β
So…here are the beginning of the year books that I love to read to my kiddos:
This isn’t all of them but these are a few of the staple ones that I read every year and I can’t see why I wouldn’t read them. Some of them are for rules and some of them are for first day nerves and excitement. If I tell parents to read kissing hand to their child before the first day of school they always tell me they bawl their eyes out so I read it for them πŸ™‚
Before I go, this is the last day to enter the giveaway I have going on until tomorrow! Birthday is over but the giveaway is still happening πŸ™‚
I would love for you to link up and see what you read your kiddos at the beginning of the year!Β
