Let’s Dust This Off…

2019 is here and I am making it a personal goal to try and dust this blog off, y’all. I LOVE this space and I love the people that come here to read. I love sharing ideas and getting ideas even more. Before kids, I put a lot of work in to this space and I sort of let it fall to the wayside as I let life take over (and by life I mean motherhood).

I think I let it get to me that once I went part-time to TK, I wasn’t as useful or my ideas weren’t as helpful. I think I let my doubt and worry about that keep me from coming in here. I had to go back and find the password for it because it had been so long.

No more of that, I’m here and I’m going to share what I’ve got while I’m still on a roll.

I kind of feel like I need to reintroduce myself..my name is Elizabeth and I am the face behind Kickin’ it in Kindergarten. I have two kiddos (1 and 3) and a rockstar husband that keeps us all fed (because he’s the only cook in the house…). I present here and there and I am also a trunk keeper for Matilda Jane Clothing.

This year, I am going to be jumping back in (jump might be too aggressive…tiptoe) to presenting and doing a little bit of traveling. I have a hard time being away from these two but one thing I have found through this journey of blogging and social media is that I LOVE meeting you all and the friendships that I have made along the way. I’ll be presenting at two different Kindergarten conferences this year.

The next thing I’ll tell you as I am typing…my posts will probably be short and sweet because that’s how I live my life these days with two small kiddos…in and out.

With that said, here is an activity for you for getting back to school in the next couple of days. I think this book is perfect for starting the new year off with your students. If you don’t have the book, you can listen/watch it on YouTube.

Then, we talk about what a resolution is and the kids fill out their own resolution and we then write our own. I would share with my students that my resolution is to blog more than once a year ;0) Going to try that and see how that goes!

Happy 2019!
