Well, it’s that time y’all.
All good things have to come to an end.
I hope you have enjoyed your mornings, time with your family, Netflix marathons and days of just PJs.
I know I have.
I was at school yesterday prepping for the week. My bookshelf and my math tubs are done. My lesson plans are typed. The kids have a new place to sit and there are fresh crayons ready to tackle the second half of the year.
I sort of love this time of the year because it’s time to hit the ground running. The amount of teaching that gets done in the second half of the year is one of the things I love most. This is where we get to see our kids really take off.
I am linking up with Deedee for Peek at My Week!
Here is my week!
I am excited to start my new BUILD stations and Deanna and Deedee’s new Guiding Readers unit.
Tomorrow, I am having the students write about their Winter Break. You can download your own copy here if you want to do the same!
Many of you have been asking me about how I create my plans. I do it in PowerPoint. I have a free download for you all so you can use this template if you would like. There are also directions within the download so you can add more boxes or take some away since I’m sure your day doesn’t flow exactly like mine does! The fonts probably won’t translate exactly. I use KG What the Teacher Wants.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
Love your plans. I have one question that I am sure will make me feel not smart but I am going to ask it anyway. On your plans under literacy you have the letters “R. W.” could you tell me what it stands for?
Thank you,
Leslie
It is an acronym for Reader’s Workshop 🙂
