I am linking up with Denise over at Sunny Days in Second Grade for her linky party! I love finding new linky parties and new bloggers! Her only rule is that we have to post something about Valentine’s Day…so here is my Literacy Pack for the classroom. It is fun filled with all sorts of reader response pages and literacy stations. I can’t wait to use them next week!
For the crafty people out there…my room mom from my first year teaching made these iPod Valentines for my kiddos. SO…stinkin’ cute. If I could find the time…maybe I will make them for my kids this year. I am laughing on the inside but maybe 🙂 She wrapped up a box of candy hearts and wrapped it in pink paper just like this picture shows. There are lots of variations on it! I love the candy hearts as ear buds.
This is our saying for today. We are really hitting the character ed. hard this week after our little debacle last week 🙂 It has changed the entire flow of my classroom this week. Yesterday our word was “Respect” and our saying today is “Just be Awesome”. We watched Kid President and talked about some ways to just be awesome. The kids loved it!I would encourage you to take some time to show this to your kids!
I will let you know what I come up with for tomorrow!
My sweet friend over at Growing Firsties is having a mega-giveaway to celebrate 400 followers and it is AWESOME! You just have to check it out. Lisa has been so supportive and encouraging to me as a new blogger and I so appreciate her!
I love your saying ‘just be awesome’ and I love your blog!!! I love those cute little owls! I’m your newest follower! 🙂

What a great idea to focus your character ed on one word or saying each day! I love that idea. Those iPod Valentines are adorable. I think I might have to make them for my kids at home. Don’t quite think I will have enough time to make for my 23 sweeties at school though! 🙂
