It’s finally Friday! The time between Christmas Break and Spring Break has been f.o.r.e.v.e.r.

Like always, I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for the weekly Five for Friday.
1. First off, it’s officially Spring Break!!! I am headed out tomorrow morning with my bestest teaching bud to hit the beach. We have gone twice together and vacation well together so we are off again! Last time I was there, here is a picture I took on my morning run. I love having no schedule or plans for a full week. I pretty much turn my brain off and turn in to a a beach bum for a week. It’s fab 🙂
2. GO TOPS!!!! We are watching Western Kentucky play Kansas at this very moment. I was a swimmer for Western and the announcers keep talking about how this would be a major upset. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. Five years ago, when I was actually in school and Ty Rogers made this shot (it’s only 38 seconds…)
I was sitting in my gran’s kitchen and flipped out of my chair. Literately, legs in the air and I knocked the wind out of myself….
However, I am hoping that we might get to relive the glory days.
If not, I have Louisville winning the tournament anyways :-/
3. My sweet T.A. brought me these flowers today. We had sort of an interesting week and I had a bad day yesterday and she just came in with these, gave me a hug and said “Today is going to be better”.
Love her…and I am beyond grateful for Ms. Dana. It’s so nice to have someone share in the day to day happenings in your classroom. She loves my kids just as much as I do and I have loved sharing in all of our funny moments this year. She has been my saving grace this year!
4. Hey! I have a freebie for ya! I am going to have my students do this the week we get back the day from Spring Break. Hope you can find a way to use it in your writing instruction and to let the kids write about their break instead of hearing over and over “HEY! GUESS WHAT I DID!?!?!?!?!?!”
I love getting to say, “I can’t wait to read about it :)”
5. I am planning on being a part of two giveaways with some great friends this weekend. Greg is having is 1000 follower (what!?!? How cool can one get to have 1000 followers?) giveaway and Jennifer’s 100 follower (100 feels like a 1000…she’s pretty stellar as well 🙂 giveaway. Both are fabulous and I can’t wait to see their mega prizes. Be on the lookout for them both!

It’s my spring break too and I am SOOOOO pumped.
Those flowers are so sweet. I have a foster Grandma in my room and it is so nice to just have another adult in the room sometimes.
