Sunday Planning and Font Frenzy

It’s Sunday and I should have gotten a lot more done than I have. I had a dream (nightmare really) last night that I woke up and it was Monday. I just skipped over Sunday all together.

Worst. Dream. Ever.

I usually go to church, get my grocery shopping done, workout, and iron my school clothes for the week. I am currently still in my PJs, haven’t left the house, and have yet to shower. I can tell you why though…it’s completely unreasonable.

I have a font disorder.

That is all I have been doing. I am just as addicted as my students are. I can’t wait to get all of their fonts on the computer and let them start typing with them. We have just recently hired a computer teacher and the kiddos are learning how to use the keyboard. There is such a big emphasis on this because now the students are going to have to start typing their standardized tests. My little ones are prepping now for their typing standardized test destiny that is coming their way in three years. Creating fonts just makes it seem a little less painful.

You don’t need to buy a license to use the fonts. Credit is all that I ask for! They are on sale until tomorrow. If you follow me on IG (kickinitinkindergarten) I am doing a giveaway for the fonts on there. All you have to do is follow and leave your e-mail. If you share the giveaway then you will be entered twice.

Now it’s on to my plans for the week. This is something that I can check off the to-do list {just click on the picture and you can view it as a PDF}

Two of the activities are freebies that I posted from last year. We are going to be using Michelle’s Snowy Day Unit this week. It is beyond perfect. We are going to address different skills with this story throughout the week. You can find the Peter craftivity that we are doing tomorrow by clicking the picture. Slide1We are also reading a lot of Snowman books this week. On Tuesday, we are going to be creating and measuring snowmen. This is also a freebie you can get on TpT.

It’s going to be another week of addition boot camp, as I like to call it, for math. We had a serious review on Friday. I pre-tested my kiddos but really want to make sure they understand all aspects of addition so it’s not such a shock when we roll in to subtraction. That’s always a fun shift…

After our whole group lesson, I am pulling groups of students that didn’t understand the specific addition skill we went over that day. The other students work on their math tubs while I have been doing the addition groups.

Deedee is doing something fabulous and is on a plane so I will link up later tonight! Be sure to head over to Instagram for a chance to win the new fonts!

Good luck to all of you that are headed back to school for a full week!  Peek at my Week Linky Button

I’m off to get myself together!
