I am really excited to start using these stations for the next literacy rotations! I LOVE these graphics that I got from KPM doodles. They are my all time fave! The kids were already looking in the baskets saying “Oh, I love those candies!” I think my girls are excited because of all the pink!
The boys have had their time…we’ve done three days of football (just kidding =)
You can enter to win this here on my blog, and also on Mrs. Pauley’s Kindergarten blog because she is having her 100 follower giveaway! Yay for her…she’s awesome! Go check it out to win lots of other great prizes from some other wonderful bloggers!
Love finding new linky ideas! This one is from The Polished Teacher and it might be my favorite one so far!
A: App- Bugs and Buttons. I would never tell my kids that but sometimes when they are out of the room and I need a brain break…I pull out the iPad and start tapping away!
B: Book Character– Pete The Cat. This has been a challenging year with special ed. kiddos and Pete The Cat is always our go to and we say “Goodness No” a lot this year! 🙂
C: Clip Art- KPM Doodles….I LOVE their stuff!
D: Dollar Spot Find– Target! It’s less than a mile away from my house and it gets me in trouble sometimes!
E: Essential To Start Day– COFFEE!!!
F: Font– Lilian from DA Fonts (gotta check them out if you haven’t already!)
G: Game– I am not a board game person at all. However, when we go to Vegas I like to stand around with the older men at the craps table. (My husband told me not to write that on my teacher blog but I’m just speaking the truth here!)
H: Holiday– Fourth of July. I love fireworks and it’s just always a fun day. We have a tradition in the neighborhood where I grew up with a parade, firetruck, pool party, and BBQ. It’s always so fun and really feels like the American Dream!
I: Ice Cream– Sweet Ceces. This is a local place but I think they are opening up some more stores in the South. It’s a frozen yogurt place and it’s fab! My favorite flavor is cheesecake!
J: Jewelry Piece– My wedding ring…I also wear my great grandmother’s ring with it so it always makes me think of her.
K: Kid-ism– “Can I have some han-i-tizer?”
L: Location To Travel– We’re headed to London this summer so I have a feeling that is going to be my favorite place! Right now…I would say Vegas 🙂
M: Management Technique– Hand symbols for going to the bathroom. Students just put one finger in the air. If I see that sign then I can just nod to them and they can go to the bathroom. It’s so much better than “I HAVE TO GO POTTY!!!!!!” Right in the middle of a story 🙂
N: Nail Polish– My auntie drinks chianti…mainly because of the name.
O: Open House Idea– A PowerPoint. I know that sounds kind of simple but it helps me stay on topic and not to ramble. It also gives the parents something else to look at instead of me 🙂
P: Pinterest Find– Love this! We have used it in writing this year and it gives the kids a great visual!
Q: Quote-
“Along the way there’s going to be a lot of obstacles, a lot of people who tell you you’re not good enough. I’m here to tell you that you are. Everyone that tells you that you’re not is because they didn’t accomplish something.”
-Tim Tebow
R: Read-Aloud– Born to Read.
S: School Supply– This pencil sharpener! It’s AMAZING!
T: TPT/TN Product– Sight Word Printable from
We do one every morning for morning work!
U: Un-Official Hobby- It’s kind of official but I teach spin on the side 🙂
V: Video Brain Break- Deskercise! Perfect for indoor recess!
W: Way To Spend A Day Off- Watching Friends all day in my PJs
X: X-tra Special Blogs You ♥- All of these ladies have been so kind and sweet to me since I started my adventure as a new blogger. I am so excited to have met some wonderful new bloggy friends! Thank you ladies!
Y: Yummy Dessert– Anything and everything chocolate. So something that looks like this:
Z: Zoo Animal– Polar Bear…I want to cuddle with them (what’s wrong with me?)
The unit would be perfect for next week! Looks like a lot of great activities!
Thanks so much for linking up! I loved your answers! They were so candid! Pete the Cat is the best and I want to snuggle a polar bear right now! I’m so glad you enjoyed the party!

Thanks for hosting! Love finding new friends!
Oh Elizabeth I think I just feel in love with that KPM Doodles clip art! I haven’t seen it before and now I just want to go on another clip art shopping spree. I really like you Valentine Literacy Activity Pack. Super Cute! But I can’t enter for the giveaway 🙁 The rafflecopter is too far to the left & under the other blog buttons when I try to check it out. When I try to click on the buttons to “follow” to enter for the giveaway it just opens someone’s else blog from your Blog List. I also like that new linky you posted! Linkies are always so much fun!!! Oh & isn’t Target just the best! I was oober sad to find out that they don’t have a Target up here in Alberta, Canada. I always load up when I go make my visits to MS. but good news… we’re getting one soon… Waawhooo!

Lovely Literacy & More
Oh bummer! I will fix it…not sure why it’s doing that! Isn’t KPM Doodles the best? It is the cutest clipart…I don’t know what I would do without Target. I told my hubby we can’t move because I can’t be less than one mile from one 🙂
Your unit looks like so much fun…..I am loving all the pink! 🙂
Thanks for the sweet shout-out! You are fabulous! I think I need to make a stop at Ulta this weekend and get me some of that cute nail polish….love the name.
I had never heard of deskercise so I am excited to check it out….thanks for the great idea! 🙂

Deskercise is the best…indoor recess makes me crazy so it’s good to get them moving and then I don’t cringe with indoor recess noise! I feel like the grinch saying that 🙂
I love the new linky! Very cool! I enjoyed reading yours!

Elizabeth,
I love Pete the Cat too! I find myself singing the song long after we are done reading the books. That pencil sharpener is the best! We have two in our room. 🙂 I am so jealous about your trip to London. Awesome!
